Why Do We Dream? Understanding Strange Dreams

Why do we Dream?

Recently I’ve been having the most vivid, strangest dreams — the kind that cling to me for days after I wake up.
To release them, I started writing them down.

It made me wonder… why do we even dream?
And why are they so random, so bizarre, and sometimes downright haunting?

Some people say dreams are glimpses into other realities.
Some say they’re visions of what’s to come.
(With some of the ones I’ve had, I bloody hope that’s not true 😂)

Others say dreams are just our brains processing the day.
And some people don’t remember them at all — which is wild to me, because sometimes I genuinely wish I could forget mine.

But dreams are still a mystery.
That’s why we’re so intrigued by them.
Science has theories, but no real answers.
Maybe we’ll never know the truth.

That doesn’t mean we can’t talk about them. I’ll be posting some of my strange and vivid dreams here.

I’m no expert, but if you have an understanding of dreams or think you might know the meaning behind mine, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
And if you want to share your own dreams, please do — I’m fascinated by how different our minds can be at night.
